Newsletter signup stores the submitted email address, consent time, confirmation state and signup source. Google Analytics is active on public pages and may collect usage, device and approximate-location information under Google's configured controls. The first-party analytics interface remains disabled until its production database is connected.
Purpose and choice
Newsletter information is used to operate the requested subscription and double opt-in. Analytics is used to understand aggregate publication use and diagnose product issues. Production lawful bases, consent requirements and retention periods must be confirmed.
Processors and transfers
Vercel hosts the public site and Google processes analytics data. Cloudflare, Resend and OpenAI are planned processors for application data, email and configured newsroom tasks but remain disabled until their production services are connected. Processor terms, transfer safeguards and regional settings require review.
Your rights
The production notice must identify the controller, contact route, retention periods, applicable UK data-protection rights, withdrawal method and complaint route. Those operational details cannot truthfully be completed until the publishing entity and monitored contacts are confirmed.
